The presentation will address basic human values as PSOC determinants. Values play an overarching role in the orientations of individuals, and may also influence the general attitudes towards community and community ties. Moreover, as values are culturally determined and supported by normative environments, the ascertainment of the relationship between values and PSOC can offer significant indications for interventions aimed at promoting community wellbeing. The results of a multi-centric study, which attest different patterns of PSOC-values relationship, will be presented and discussed.
