Essere Maradona. L'umana fragilità di un eroe

Maradona was a unique footballer, but also a human being like any other. The Story of Diego Armando Maradona – as a character of an individual as a whole – seems to possess some faces such as to be able to be considered by many a Myth. What are these characteristics faces? What can distinguish the story of this modern hero from that, even extraordinary, of many of his other potential competitors who have passed like him on the sporting and media stage of the most recent historical reality? If we analyze some of the archetypal characteristics of the two oldest heroes of the Western cultural tradition – Achelles and Ulisses, i.e., the main protagonists of the two great Homeric narratives – we can find some ideas for a less stereotyped reading of the image of the Maradonian myth.
