Abstract
In the second half of the sixteenth century, the Sistine building and urban fervor, which in Rome prepared the future staging of papal absolutism, also reached the main cities of the Marches: among the construction sites active in the region, the project for the Strada Nuova in Macerata concludes, in the first decade of the seventeenth century, an urban program that announces the rhetoric of the Baroque city fueled by the religious orders of the Counter- Reformation urbanized in new churches and convents built along the new artery.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
