The high permeability of the text of the Commentary on the Dream of Scipio to Neoplatonic theories, the close link with the translation and com‐ mentary of Calcidio to Platoʹs Timaeus, although these tend to be closer to medioplatonismo, characterize the comment as a philosophical commentary. This would lead us to consider the text of Macrobius eccentric to the circuit to which may refer the comments of Servius, Tiberius Claudius Donato and his own Saturnalia. The analysis of the song on the descent into hell brings to light the hidden links no less significant between the texts of the commen‐ tators.

Abstract
The high permeability of the text of the Commentary on the Dream of Scipio to Neoplatonic theories, the close link with the translation and com‐ mentary of Calcidio to Platoʹs Timaeus, although these tend to be closer to medioplatonismo, characterize the comment as a philosophical commentary. This would lead us to consider the text of Macrobius eccentric to the circuit to which may refer the comments of Servius, Tiberius Claudius Donato and his own Saturnalia. The analysis of the song on the descent into hell brings to light the hidden links no less significant between the texts of the commen‐ tators.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
