The chapter offers some insights about the DATABENC experience in order to depict the motivations leading the actors to create such a context favouring innovation in cultural heritage. Moreover, three main elements shape the description of the context, namely the activities, the actors, and the technologies and competencies, since the combination of all of them is the way to achieve the innovation-oriented goals.
