Abstract

During the last decade, corporate scandals have involved business educa-tion in a wave of criticism as responsible for moral ignorance in the business world and for their failure in educating students with the standards of good conduct. Along with a review of the literature on ethics in higher education, we have conducted an analysis by submitting a survey among economics and management students in Italy and Belgium to understand if ethical values matters to them, and to understand their perspective of ethical issues in their present work and in their future as managers.e results highlight that students perceive the importance of ethical values and behavior, and within organizations, recognize the role played by the CEO.
