Geomorphological, volcano-tectonics and geological-structural aspects of the city of Naples are illustrated. Particularly, the underground manmade caves of the downtown, dug in the Neapolitan yellow tuff pyroclastic formation, often used as geomaterial for buildings, and their relationships with the urbanized landscape over time are also shown through a field trip.
