Aim of this paper is understanding if universities and job market share a common language when they try to match demand and supply of graduate employees. From a methodological view point, the problem consists in dealing with two corpora which have different sources and different natures. The first textual database collects the of-ficial presentations of universities courses and the second base collects the registra-tion of interviews to managers, both referred to graduates and dealing with non profit activities. The basic idea of the proposal consists in dealing with textual objects (i.e. second order data structures), composed by words which identify peculiar character-istics (capabilities, skills, etc.). The reference to higher order data enables the as-sumption that they are identical for the two sets of individuals, from a conceptual point of view. Therefore, it is possible to perform a joint analysis and representation, by means of Procrustes Rotations and, mainly, to measure the distance between the two configurations. The reintroduction of the words, as external information (Balbi, Misuraca, 2007) in the sense of Takane& Shibayama, enables us to read distances between corresponding points in terms of different way of using the same word in re-lation with the general context defined by the latent structures.
