Life expectancy at birth is one of the health indicators OECD has chosen for measuring the quality of life; however, living longer does not mean living better. For this reason, in this work we shift the focus from life expectancy to Healthy-Adjusted Life Expectancy (HALE). Exploiting the functional data clustering by the two-step filtering method and the k-means cluster, we look at the geographical heterogeneity of HALE Gap Ratio between different countries and High-Income countries.

Abstract
Life expectancy at birth is one of the health indicators OECD has chosen for measuring the quality of life; however, living longer does not mean living better. For this reason, in this work we shift the focus from life expectancy to Healthy-Adjusted Life Expectancy (HALE). Exploiting the functional data clustering by the two-step filtering method and the k-means cluster, we look at the geographical heterogeneity of HALE Gap Ratio between different countries and High-Income countries.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
