Processes and mechanisms explaining success of inclusive policies for LGBTI people in Southern European countries. A case study of Malta excellent performance on the Rainbow index

Through field experience and interviews with stakeholders, we investigated the role of Strategic Plans for the equality of LGBTI people and the political and social processes that were the basis of the reforms introduced by the Maltese Government. The anonymous survey addressed to the local community made it possible to provide a more complete and in-depth overview of the country's inclusiveness, as experienced by LGBTI people themselves.
