The essay proposes a critical reflection on the challenges imposed by the potential reuse of religious heritage, focusing attention, through the analysis of experiences, on the results of the application of digital technologies in the processes of virtual museumization or to facilitate the reading of invisible or intangible components and layers. This with respect to the possible perspectives of reiteration of these solutions with a view to ‘remote’ use, also prosecutable in the post-pandemic phase.
