We introduce a New Economic Geography model aiming at clarifying the impact of environmental pollution on the dynamics of factor mobility and households’ residential choices. Our investigation shows complex behaviour, coexisting attractors and situations in which firms mobility decisions are substantially different from residential choices. Moreover, the stability properties and the dynamics involved are deeply affected by the introduction of the price index effect in the consumers demand function.
