Auto-biographies of "unsung heroes"

There are life’s histories destined to remain locked in a drawer or in the memory of the few if not told and written by some experienced hand who can, with a specific methodology, enhance the small-history by letting it become part of the big-history. The question we are trying to answer to in this article is: who are the ‘unsung heroes’? They are those who will never be mentioned in school books, history books or library books but whom we have the duty to bring to light in order to value their simple, ordinary but also extraordinary actions. Giving voice to the stories of the lowliest is a responsibility and a duty of pedagogists, trainers and educators. This requires specific skills and methodological instruments able to offer to the researcher the proper instruments to take care of the narrated history and, at the same time, of the territory that takes it back, so that the narration can become a patrimony for everybody.
