There are over 100 peer-reviewed publications reporting putative instances of vector manipulation by a plant virus, although many reports remain largely descriptive. Among studies on host and vector manipulation, temporal aspects have been largely ignored, with most mechanistic studies targeting one time point for describing molecular differences between infected and uninfected hosts. What mechanisms are operating in the CYSDV-melon-whitefly pathosystem? How does CYSDV infection change whitefly gene expression over time? How do melon plants respond to CYSDV infection and MEAM1 damage? We present transcriptomic data trying to address these questions.

Abstract
