This contribution focuses on the study of a bronze coin, struck by the mint of Neapolis in the third century BC, found during the excavation conducted by the University of Naples Federico II in the Forum of Cumae, in a votive deposit identified in the N-W corner of the square. The study focuses on the contextual aspects of the discovery, which can provide information on the state of conservation of the coin which presents a metallic alteration linked to a phenomenon of surface enrichment.
