Geometrie della luce per il restauro degli orologi solari/Geometries of light for sundials’ restoration

Il saggio propone una metodologia geometrica adottata per il restauro di alcuni orologi solari monumentali nella regione Campania. La metodologia è basata sul ritrovamento degli allineamenti geometrici tra le posizioni del Sole, la punta dello gnomone e le corrispondenti linee sul quadrante solare, per le quali si fornisce un modello 3d utile sia per la progettazione di nuove meridiane sia per il restauro. The paper proposes a geometric methodology that has been adopted for the restoration of some monumental sundials in the Campania region. The methodology is based on finding the geometric alignments between the positions of the Sun, the tip of the gnomon and the corresponding lines on the sundial, for which a 3d model is provided that is useful both for the design of new sundials and for their restoration.
