Mathematical modeling for masonry structures reinforced or not with different types of refurbishment still represents a main research stream. Coupling with special composites’ provision, as for example FRCM reinforcements, still requires the development of reliable analytical tools in order to allow to perform appropriate forecasts about the structural behaviour. To this aim in the paper one focuses on the mathematical setup for handling such problem, where the masonry material is required to be modeled through well validated mechanical hypotheses (such as the NT assumption), and the coupling with relatively new reinforcing materials such as the FRCM composites requires an appropriate treatment.

Abstract
Mathematical modeling for masonry structures reinforced or not with different types of refurbishment still represents a main research stream. Coupling with special composites’ provision, as for example FRCM reinforcements, still requires the development of reliable analytical tools in order to allow to perform appropriate forecasts about the structural behaviour. To this aim in the paper one focuses on the mathematical setup for handling such problem, where the masonry material is required to be modeled through well validated mechanical hypotheses (such as the NT assumption), and the coupling with relatively new reinforcing materials such as the FRCM composites requires an appropriate treatment.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
