In the context of the researches about the city of Naples, the contribution aims to offer an example of the potential of the disciplines of surveying and representation that allow us to critically appropriate and manage the role of architecture and urban space as a privileged memory device in the processes of vision and recognition of the image of the city. Naples today represents the European city that better than any other reveals the urban palimpsest, from Greek to contemporary times.
