In response to the urgency of the environmental crisis, it is possible to see how the network of actors interested in developing processes of ecological transition is widening and strengthening in the implementation of the various objectives set by the regulations and documents that analyse and regulate the matter. It is interesting to note how the goals of eco-sustainable development - which find a more recent enunciation in the UN 2030 Agenda - have prompted not only the action of international, supranational and national institutions in the strategies of adaptation to the environmental crisis, but also the various religious traditions. The focus on environmental protection, in fact, seems to have prompted sustainability dynamics both within and outside religious organisations. The latter develop both through interactions between the leaders of different religions and within the framework of a more general commitment to cooperation with governmental and other institutions that can be inspired by the common principles of defending and enhancing the ecosystem.
