Voice production is a process that involves the whole pneumophonoarticulatory apparatus. Nowadays, voice diseases are increasing quickly, affecting the quality of the human voice. So, an early detection and diagnosis of these diseases are very important for rehabilitation purposes and/or prevention purposes. In this chapter, a description of anatomy and physiology of voice phonoarticulary apparatus is presented. Moreover, a spectrographic analysis for pathological vocal signals is described. Finally, an example of portable device for acquisition and elaboration of vocal analysis is proposed. © 2010 Springer-Verlag.

Abstract
Voice production is a process that involves the whole pneumophonoarticulatory apparatus. Nowadays, voice diseases are increasing quickly, affecting the quality of the human voice. So, an early detection and diagnosis of these diseases are very important for rehabilitation purposes and/or prevention purposes. In this chapter, a description of anatomy and physiology of voice phonoarticulary apparatus is presented. Moreover, a spectrographic analysis for pathological vocal signals is described. Finally, an example of portable device for acquisition and elaboration of vocal analysis is proposed. © 2010 Springer-Verlag.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
