In the call for participation in the Tübingen seminar the question of diplomatic thinking is clearly referred to the horizon of post-critique and, thereby, to “an attitude of care and generosity towards our research objects” and to the willingness to “situate ourselves as researchers not above but in the midst of the turmoil of things” (emphasis added). One of the goals of this workshop is that of proposing an archaeology of the “critical” stance, by contextually exploring whether this may be coextensive with the emergence of the notion of the educable human in the Western tradition.

Abstract
