laboratorio A402 is a research unit engaged in the investigation of the ways and means of teaching architectural design, from its conception to its transmission in the ever-changing conditions of the cultural and physical context. Founded in 2019 at the Department of Architecture of the University of Naples "Federico II" by Alberto Calderoni, Luigiemanuele Amabile, Marianna Ascolese and Vanna Cestarello, laboratorio A402 intends to reflect on operating methodologies through which critically read the complexity of the manifold material and immaterial phenomena influencing the design process. The architectural project is thus intended as the main tool to investigate the built environment and understand its necessary transformations, delimiting a field of work defined by a grammar of making, inherent to the practice of architecture. Logbook 06 is about Naples and its urban boundaries, searching for density and possible ways to continue the inhabited city.

Abstract

laboratorio A402 is a research unit engaged in the investigation of the ways and means of teaching architectural design, from its conception to its transmission in the ever-changing conditions of the cultural and physical context.
