The hypothesis of a new opportunity to visit the archaeological site of Pompeii with the installation of an accessible route between the entrance to the Parco nearby Porta Marina and the Casina Fiorelli, can offer visitors to the archaeological site the chance to enjoy the great Villas of the Insula Occidentalis. Such architecture, with characteristics that are unique in the Pompeian panorama, are today visible only from the “upstream” side, along the via Consolare, and would enable visitors to experience the ancient remains, solving the question of access to the city from the high slope on which they are located.
