Abstract

The paper describes the first project results of a research conducted by Federico II University Department of Architecture The research tests new design processes to define a verifiable and repeatable procedure to revitalize and reclaim the brownfields. The research is based on urban mining understood as «a frame of actions for the systematic management of the anthropogenic resources (products and buildings) and waste, featured by long-term goals for the environmental protection, stressing both the protection of renewable resources and the economic advantage». (Ghosh S. K. 2020).
