The research presented is part of the contemporary framework of investigations aimed at testing algorithmic processes capable of extracting, as well as associating, the informative describers useful for the orientation of the diagnostic investigation preliminary to the restoration project, to a point cloud discrete model. An adequate intervention program requires, indeed, a collection of heterogeneous data, which, from the spatial dimension of an architecture, identified by its metric quantities and formai as well as relational matrixes, becomes broader and enriches the documental base with knowledge concerning, among other information, the plasticity and material elements of the architecture, the colourimetry and degenerative state of the surfaces. Yet, the collection of the corpus of knowledge often requires invasive investigations far the historic emergencies and preparation of critical elaborations complied individually by the technicians involved In the awareness that the three-dimensional models obtainable with the techniques of architectural survey are precious systems far acquiring knowledge, the essay illustrates the outcomes of an experimentation intended to define the procedural phases of semantic-informative - non-invasive - enrichment of a digital architectural model in which the morphometric features acquired with direct and indirect survey techniques, are associated to cognitive and technical aspects, specifically thermic and geometric deviation information, with the purpose of turning such a model into a support for the simulation of scenarios of restoration interventions. The discrete rendering of reality into the form of point cloud transforms, indeed, every point entity into a knowledge quantum from which it is possible to extract informative elements concerning the evolution of pathologies, superficial alterations and degenerations, as well as associating to the same infinitesimal! entities farther anamnestic describers, substantial far restoration diagnostics such as environmental data on temperature and humidity. Informative enrichment is achieved through mathematical processes, algorithmic in nature, which hold the advantage of being replicable in the process of critical interpretation of a specialist. The investigation was conducted on the Church o/San Michele Arcangelo in Padula (Salerno, Region Campania), affected by instances of detachment of the plaster of the frescos at the intrados of the vaulted systems, to which the codified methodology was applied, deducing operative orientations feasible in similar contexts.
