The domain of Higher Education (HE) went through a revolution. People’s expectations and requirements for education has changed, as well as the competences required by the market. The demand for Higher Education services deeply changed, highlighting serviced offered not always can grasp the market evolution. The Italian Higher Education Institutions (HEI) often show a plastered situation as a result of national laws and regulations, and the incapability for understanding the ongoing changes. The proposed change in perspective offers the opportunity for supporting the emergence of conditions for an effective collaboration among the future researchers and practitioners for facing the variety and variability of emerging social and economic challenges. The main idea is that HEIs should provide to the students not only knowledge and competences, but they should also teach them ways the endowed knowledge and competences can be combined with the resources of the multiple actors that compose their social and economic environment
