The contribution analyzes the impact that the current pandemic from Covid -19 will have on the collection of sensitive data transformed, thanks to the use of algorithms, into Big data and on the potential impact, in the short and long term, that the use this data can produce the proper functioning of democracy, separation of powers, fundamental rights, equality principle. The existing regulatory solutions are completely inadequate because they move in a logic still linked to an elementary digital environment unable to face the challenges of rapid changes that technology imposes
