The pandemic shows the fragility and “common destiny” of the human family. Progress, undoubtedly achieved by societies, does not eliminate the dimension of danger from history. Pestilences have always existed, but today, with the levels reached by global interconnection, they can spread rapidly everywhere. Globalization is also this. We realized it already when the image of the planet seen from the outside, via satellite, appeared on TV: the divine gaze given to man. Or when the “nuclear medium” made clear the existence of a planetary atomic button, for the possible end of history. But it is certainly not by calling for a return to nature, longing for his “rebellion” against men, that the problem will be solved. Fortunately today, global interconnection promotes also research, medicine. Science, not rhetoric, will provide us with a remedy to save the species. Abstract

But the “after” world will, however, be very different. The speed with which we will be able to read the needs of change will constitute a decisive watershed.
