Abstract

This work tries to reconstruct Thomasius’ political philosophy moving from the dialectic between internal duty and external duty. So, it draws out the clear theoretical prevalence of internal obligation, which is related to the idea of a natural law purified from any theological residue and assumed as the foundation of the entire practical system.
