This work analyses the new text of the Audiovisual Media Services Directive (2010/13/EU), as revised by Directive 2018/1808/EU. It focuses on the new provisions concerning the two basic principles on which the EU act is based since the “television without frontiers” directive of 1989, namely the jurisdiction of the country of origin and the mutual recognition of audiovisual services diffused by an audiovisual media service provider established in a Member States.
