In the field of spirituality, to ethics and aesthetics – although not disdained – functionality is preferred by the inhabitants of western society. For this reason, individuals feel completely legitimate to fill the inner vacuum of the “empty rooms of the soul” with a sacred furniture that is the result of a highly individualized spiritual design. Analyzing the main aspects of this peculiar phenomenon is the aim of this paper.
