What is the conception of Magic in the tradition of Bolognese Averroismus? The essay summarizes the forms and structures of the classification of sciences in the Expositio super Theorica planetarum Gerardi of Taddeo da Parma and analyzes the work in a dialectical relationship with some places of ancient and medieval sources. The tension between “concessa” Mathematics and “prohibita” Mathematics is also examined analytically. In this tension it is possible to verify the real conceptualization of naturalis Magic, built on the basis of a precise scientific ideal, that represents the fundamental nucleus of the entire reflection of the Magister Bolognese.
