Different molecular techniques, both unilocus and multilocus, were tested for the characterization of a moss clone to be used as a biosensor in biomonitoring of air quality. The aim was to select reliable markers to create a molecular label of the moss clone in order to protect it in the view of a European patent application.

Abstract
