The purpose of the seminar, concerning the internal market, is to deepen the topic of the application of European rules to the professional services, which are a key component of the EU internal market economy. The aim is to discuss and exchange views about the compatibility of the national measures, concerning market access (for instance, qualification requirements, registration or membership of a professional body, rules on areas of reserved practice) and the exercise of professional activities (for instance, prices and fees, advertising, restrictions on interprofessional co-operation or restrictions on forms of business), with EU free movement (i.e. freedom of establishment and freedom to provide services), mutual recognition of diplomas and competition law rules.
