L’approccio open source come dimensione collettiva di progetto/The open source approach as the collective dimension of design

The contemporary life style makes us face conditions and challenges that radically change the ways we think of the future and define needs, habits and men’s activities, thus forcing us to search for a process of change that can reinterpret and build innovatively the environmental technological and aesthetic qualities of human existence. Within this framework, it would be reasonable to wish to go back to a new “design hope”1, to a way of approaching the design of the future habitat to better match the renovated men’s needs without upsetting a culture that has been laboriously built for millennia.
