IAEA-CTBTO-OPCW Cooperation: A Chance of Reinforcing the IAEA Verification Regime

This chapter intends to verify whether a contribution to strengthen the Agency’s control system may come from reinforcing the relationship with other international organizations (IOs) with similar functions, in so far as the connection among their control systems may set up useful synergies in avoiding to waste available resources and optimizing the activities carried out. The goal is to verify whether cooperation with these organizations may contribute to improving the IAEA action as a watchdog of state activities in the nuclear field under the NPT.
