This book chapter discusses Ann Sharp's philosophy of education by arguing that it is grounded in some original views about Nietzsche's contribution to educational reflection. Thus, Sharp's thought and pedagogy (principally her idea of the community of inquiry as an educational device for philosophical inquiry with children) are situated within a broad philosophical horizon and their significance for the opposition to the contemporary learnification is vindicated.
