It requires measures and strategies aimed at commensurate human behavior with the carrying capacity of the planet. The architecture plays a pivotal role as it exerts a significant environmental impact in all the phases that characterize the architecture itself: from the extraction of raw material to the possible disposal of the building. The contribution defines the retrofit project to improve the energy performances of existing buildings. It also aims to illustrate the context and the priority requirements of the retrofit project.
