Lifelong Learning is presented and discussed as embedded in the process of globalization and technological change: as a consequence of economic competition in a worldwide scenario, of the changes in welfare and labour policies and of the enlargement of the contexts and opportunies for learning by people - before, during and after school years - in formal and informal situations. These changes define specific challenges for educational institutions - including Universities - and for innovation systems and entrepreneurship policies, but also for political institutions and democratic decision-making.

Abstract
Lifelong Learning is presented and discussed as embedded in the process of globalization and technological change: as a consequence of economic competition in a worldwide scenario, of the changes in welfare and labour policies and of the enlargement of the contexts and opportunies for learning by people - before, during and after school years - in formal and informal situations. These changes define specific challenges for educational institutions - including Universities - and for innovation systems and entrepreneurship policies, but also for political institutions and democratic decision-making.File in questo prodotto:
