The present work aims at describing the institutional and social support received by a sample of low income single mothers living in different Neapolitan areas, exploring as personal attribute, social and spatial-geographical contexts influence support process. We analyze how the type of support provided to single mothers by relatives, friends, workmates, and neighbours in terms of emotional support, services, tangible aid, and information differs according to different urban area in which the single mothers live.
