This research project aims to identify a methodology able to establish a dialogue between different fields of knowledge (restoration, geometry, new technology, history of architecture, astronomy and gnomonic) with the main purpose of triggering the diffusion, the communication and the consequent use of architectural goods often abandoned or even strangers, through the reclamation and development of the same. The identification of a geometric model is understood as a simplifying interpretation of the most complex system of physical laws that describe the motion of the stars allows a more immediate approach towards the gnomonicus, providing the opportunity to design, re-function or interpret sundials of any type through a methodology and tools peculiar to architects or those people most directly involved in their restoration.
