Enhance tourism experience with ICTs: the technological cultural district of Lazio and the Futouring Portal.

The impact of new technologies in tourism is a research topic much discussed in literature, especially regarding the possibility given by ICT to enhance the experience of the tourist. This study aims to define the role of technological cultural districts in the opportunity to improve visitors’ experience. Firstly, we search for the types of technological services offered. Consecutively, we try to define the kind of experience that they can offer to the tourist, applying a valuation model offered by recent studies. The research is proposed as a preliminary as none exhaustive analysis on the technological cultural districts’ role in tourism experience.
