Many flows in industry and in nature are two-fluid flows. Among them, gas-liquid flows in plane geometry and oil-water Core-Annular-Flow (CAF) are deeply investigated here. Aim of this thesis is to analyze the development of instability of these flows. Both linear stability theory and direct numerical simulations, based on Volume of Fluid (VOF) method, have been used.

Abstract
