At the end of XIX Century the interplay between legal studies and other fields of research gave origins to a period of important challenges and opportunities for the legal approach. We know that focusing on this period, we can reconstruct the early stage of legal anthropology, but maybe not only. The way in which it’s possible to indicate the hypothesis of inqury followed by this research, is the idea that in these years the relationship between law and science is something we have to think about, taking it seriously even for our contemporary research.
