The subject of our chapter is the regulatory framework used to address market power in the Italian media sector. Our work examines, first, the regulation of audiovisual media services and enabling services, with a focus on regulation of market entry, media-specific anti-concentration rules, interactions with general antitrust rules, must-offer obligations, and specific rules for enabling services. Our chapter then turns to rules applicable to platforms and converged services and, finally, to distribution services.
