Times of illness and illness of time

In this paper we will discuss the topic of temporality from the specific perspective of the illness experience and its narration, carving out an area of interest concerning the remarks and discussion on the issue of time. Focusing on the processes of sense making started by illness narratives, conceived as a social reorganization of identity, we propose for the reader a point of observation from which is discussed the connection among illness (as a semiotic rupture of the relation between continuity and discontinuity), narration (as a semiotic process of sense making and representation of the experience) and the implied temporal perspective (considering any process of sense making as a temporal process).
