Iconographic structures in representation, project and construction processes

When generating architecture, the goal of controlling dimensions and measurements becomes the first learning step in developing an idea correctly. Analysing spaces and the relationship among volumes allows us to reach an upper level of consciousness, where the final aim is modifying reality with new projects. These are some of the reasons why representation (and more generally visual platforms of communication) has a fundamental role in education and the professional activities of architects. Drawing, surveying and transforming architecture in a complex system of codified sign is an exercise in approaching its deeper and hidden aspects, allowing us to comprehend how some buildings can become milestones in the history of architecture.
