Each school is hosting an accelerometric seismic station. These seismic stations can be considered as nodes of the ISNet network and are included in the PRESToPlus (regional and on-site, threshold based early-warning) software platform. The early-warning application for the schools could be, in general, defined as ‘passive’ because they will receive the alert from the PRESToPlus EEW system. On the other hand, it will be also possible to monitor the ground-shaking really experienced at these sites so to update the information flowing into the EEW system from the whole network. The two schools will then act as both regional and on-site nodes of the EW network
