The paper shows a mathematical model describing a long time-scale evolution of the longitudinal bed profile and grain sorting of aggrading mountain gravel-bed streams. The model takes into account the typical features of these streams: high discharge variability; braided configuration; gravel-bed charaterized by the "pavement". Its application to an ideal ephemeral stream demonstrates that it is able to describe the above features.

Abstract
The paper shows a mathematical model describing a long time-scale evolution of the longitudinal bed profile and grain sorting of aggrading mountain gravel-bed streams. The model takes into account the typical features of these streams: high discharge variability; braided configuration; gravel-bed charaterized by the "pavement". Its application to an ideal ephemeral stream demonstrates that it is able to describe the above features.File in questo prodotto:
