We consider Pairwise Comparison Matrices (PCMs) over divisible abelian linearly ordered groups; this approach, introduced by (Cavallo & D'Apuzzo, 2009a), allows us to generalize several kinds of PCMs proposed in literature, remove some drawbacks of the classical approach and provide a general consistency index. Properties of the o-mean vector associated to a PCM and a link between the o-mean vector and the consistency index allows us to propose the o-mean vector as a weighting vector for the alternatives.

Abstract
